2021: What a year full of contrasts for the Digital Pole!
Despite of the sanitary and economic context the Digital Pole has confirmed its robustness and succeeded to develop its sales revenue.
To start the year, the COVID crisis was restraining our mobility capabilities and physical encounters. In the meantime, the Digital Pole was deploying its international development strategy, extending to North America thanks to Mélanie Jarnoux who has landed in Montreal, Canada. She has started to explore this country but also the US and has convinced our first partners to trust us to develop IoT in Canada.
Subsequently, never has our future been more unpredictable and could generate some concerns. In the meanwhile, the Digital Pole was setting up two major collaborative R&D projects thanks to the French Stimulus Plan. First project, ORTIKAT, in partnership with HKTC and ESEO (electronics and computer engineering school founded in Angers) aims to develop an electronic gateway to locally embedded artificial intelligence applications for the deployment of à la carte decision support tools in agriculture, as close to the data as possible (edge computing). It will be integrated within ANATIS, the first weeding co-bot. Second project, IoL (for Internet of Logistic), is focusing on the development of a mobile IoT platform for logistics based on an intelligent electronic gateway and a device management platform. Those two projects will represent an investment of more than 5M€.
To top off this year, the electronic sector has been facing enormous supply challenges with the lack of basic components and disorganization of the global supply chain. In the meantime, the Digital Pole was growing and producing more and more IoT devices to achieve a +45% revenue increase. Thanks to our integrated model and to the healthy financial condition of Groupe ZeKat we were able to anticipate those difficulties and to react very rapidly.
2022: Trust will be the key!
Despite COVID crisis, supply chain difficulties, inflation risks and international tensions the Digital Pole wants to reunite around mutual trust. Julia de Funès is frequently referring to the term confidence explaining that it refers to a form of belief in the other, a faith. There is inevitably some uncertainty when you trust someone. So be it.
In 2022, we will trust in developing the export and we will focus on expending in Europe, North America and even in Africa!
In 2022, we will build a French leader in IoT by building a capacity to deliver global IoT solution through internal development, strong partnerships and external acquisitions.
In 2022, we will continue our commercial development through physical exhibitions and meetings but also by pursuing digital marketing.
In 2022, we will strengthen our supply chain and work with our customers to find new solutions against the electronic components’ shortage.
In 2022, we will trust our employees, our technical and commercial partners, our customers, our suppliers to achieve our goals of development.

AS OF NOVEMBER 2021, ERTOSGENER CHANGES ITS CORPORATE IDENTITY AND BECOMES LUCIO
eRTOSgener has been a subsidiary of Groupe ZeKat specializing in the development of embedded software since 2019. From 2021, the company will be known as Lucio and provide a comprehensive set of integrated and easy-to-use tools for embedded systems. Lucio relies on its expertise in multi-connectivity and cybersecurity to ensure the transmission of field data and deploy large-scale IoT projects. To present a preview of this technological innovation, Lucio attended CES in Las Vegas in january.

The device detects the opening of manhole covers thanks to its accelerometer. Through its on-board intelligence, the product calibrates itself automatically to determine its reference position. If an inclinaison is detected, a real-time alert is immediately sent.
AS PART OF THE IOL (INTERNET OF LOGISTICS) PROJECT, SUPPORTED BY THE FRANCE RELANCE PLAN, THE ZEKAT GROUP ANNOUNCES A FIRST PARTNERSHIP WITH KINÉIS
Groupe ZeKat recently announced the launch of its IoL project with the support of the France Relance Plan. With an investment of € 4M, this project aims to create an ecosystem around an IoT logistics platform. As the true French backbone of information feedback, localization and contextualization for logistics, the gateway at the heart of this approach must be able to communicate over multiple networks. This is why we have launched a partnership with Kinéis, the specialist in satellite connectivity for IoT.
This decision has already been reflected in the filing of 4 patents, by the launch of the HIJ then IoL project and by the change of identity of our subsidiary dedicated to on-board developments which presented its new dynamic multi-connectivity solutions at CES® 2022 in january.
