• Electronic design, incorporating industrialisation constraints with a design-to-cost approach or by holding discussions with the main component suppliers.
• Energy consumption management, to optimise consumption as a function of usage constraints. We have also initiated research programmes with the University of Rennes into new energy sources.
• Test and qualification: to ensure compliance with Hardware and Software Quality Requirements, we have code checking tools to deploy industrial test facilities.
• Project management to ensure responsiveness and the quality of our deliverables.

With more than 40 years’ experience in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication systems, the R&D division is a force to be reckoned with. The communicating solutions market now demands specific tailoring for each project to match the customer’s needs as closely as possible. For that reason, we combine development of standard products and solutions based on open hardware and software with tailored developments or modifications.

By starting with standard hardware and software platforms, our customers can produce proofs of concept and value using standard industrial components. This accelerates the transition to industrial implementation and our teams can assist you in tailoring it and in managing industrialisation constraints.

An extended and high-performance range of connected products 

By combining different hardware and software options we have developed wide ranges of products to meet each specific need. We have 3 main ranges of hardware :

• GenPro which connects industrial equipment and can communicate large amounts of data in real time.
• GenLoc which is used to geo-locate and manage vehicle fleets.
• EG-IoT dedicated to IoT applications that require low energy and data consumption.

To make best use of the numerous possibilities provided by these hardware platforms, we have developed three software platforms and numerous applications :

• The EGM (Ercogener Middleware) platform which enables our integrator customers to incorporate their own technical know-how into a ready to use environment. On this basis we have also developed our standard industry applications:
  • EaseLoc for the GenLoc range.
  • EasePro and EaseIP for the GenPro range.
  • EaseNTRIP for accurate geo-location, particularly for the agricultural industry.
• The EaseEG-IoT platform for the EG-IoT range used to address geolocation and telemetry problems in an independent or combined way.
• The Lucio platform, developed by another group subsidiary used to optimise management of multi-connectivity and provide a simplified development environment for IoT applications.
